Use of feminine wash helps maintain the pH balance of the vagina. However, some may contain harmful ingredients that can dry out the skin around the vaginal area. There is an alternative remedy for over-the-counter feminine wash and it is found right in your kitchen – apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar contains antibacterial properties. Many physicians also recommend its use for several types of vaginitis. In a hot tub, add three cups of apple cider vinegar. Soak in the tub for at least 20 minutes. It is recommended to spread the legs to allow water to flow easily in the vagina. The vinegar-treated water will normalize vaginal acidity that helps kill bad bacteria as well as fungus and yeast.

Simple treatment of bacterial vaginosis can be done at home. However, there is a need to follow a treatment plan strictly. A woman should be sticking to the treatment plan until the infection is fully healed to avoid chances of relapse.
